Gabriela Mendelski
Human-to-human design.
Before the interface come executive functioning, cognitve load, habit formation, and decision-making under uncertainty.
I work on systems where getting wrong how people understand, decide and act is expensive.
My experience includes over three years as a designer, more than seven years studying and applying neuroscience, ten years as a healthcare professional, and a lifetime as a human being.

Branding & Rebranding
I build identities from a brand's values, intent and personality, so what stays consistent actually means something. When it looks the same everywhere it appears, people spend no effort working out who it is or what it stands for — the identity carries that, and attention is freed for the message.

I design your feed and content to be recognised at a glance. A feed is scanned, not read — every post gets a fraction of a second to register as yours and make its point before the thumb moves on. Authenticity is what makes that recognition possible, so we steer clear of anything generic — together.

I make content that carries the brand but reads as a person. The brain handles a person talking to it differently from a brand selling to it — filmed and framed to feel native to the platform, it reaches people with their guard down, and the recommendation is heard before it gets filtered as advertising.

2. Map the system
What do your users need to achieve through you? How? Flows, states, edge cases. What the screen hides, the diagram reveals.

Every decision comes with what it cost — stated, not buried.

What kind of designer are you?
I’m a Experience and Product Designer with a background in neuroscience and behavioural research. I work across research, product strategy, interaction design and UI, with a particular interest in complex products where clarity, accessibility and human behaviour have a meaningful impact on outcomes. Over time, I realized that my problem-solving skills and understanding of how humans think, learn and decide were not limited to UX or product. Since then, I have collaborated in various ways to help businesses and personal brands convey their messages and reach their audiences.
